Flowy Brow

Flowy Brow also known as Eyebrow Micropigmentation, is a universal hairstroke technique done by machine. Lasts one – two years depending on the clients skin type, daily skin care routine, etc. DLD customizes each hair pattern design based off of the clients natural brow shape, hair growth direction, complexion, etc.

Before:
-DO NOT consume alcohol or caffeine 24hrs prior to your appointment.
-DO NOT take Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Fish Oil or any blood thinning medication 7 days prior. (Tylenol is ok)
(Doing so will cause you to bleed which pushes the pigment out and results in less color retention.)
-Avoid sun exposure. Skin should not have a sunburn and in process of healing before is performed.
-Avoid working out right before the procedure. Body heat will expand the pores.
-Ladies, keep in mind that you more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
-It is suggested to wash your hair before your appointment and arrive with a clean face.
-Chemical Peels and Laser Treatments must be done 15 days before appointment.
-Botox, Juvéderm, or other fillers in the forehead area should be done at least 15 days prior to your appointment.

Risk that the Botox may be moved from the area where it has been injected and cause facial paralyzation.

Flowy Brow is recommended before Botox for the reason being that Micropigmentation lasts 1-2 years vs Botox which lasts 3-6 months. It is best to do your eyebrows first because the design is based off of your natural bone structure. Botox may alter the appearance of your muscles for a short amount of time and should you decide to cease Botox treatments, your brows will settle at their original balanced position.

No. Please avoid all hair removal and let your eyebrows fill in as much as possible prior to your initial Flowy Brow appointment. DLD customizes each hair pattern design based on the clients natural brow shape, hair growth pattern, and skin undertones. The fuller your natural brows, the better!

Sure. This helps to get an idea of how the client is used to envisioning themselves every day but that being said, just because we are used to seeing ourselves a certain way that does not mean that design is correct. Sometimes the shape we are used to is totally wrong and it is an adjustment to see ourselves with a new eyebrow shape. Please trust the process. DLD won’t steer you wrong.

After care is key to the final appearance and longevity of your new brows. Improper care may result in fading of the eyebrows.

Please be aware that medications, health and skin conditions may affect your healed results. Different skin types, routines, metabolism, alcohol intake, and not following the aftercare instructions may also affect healed results.

Keep in mind: Different artist use different techniques and advise different after care. Please follow the aftercare instructions advised by your personal Micropigmentation Artist.

General Important Information:
-Pigment will appear natural immediately after.
-Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. Depending on your body and age the entire healing process will take 21-45 days.
-The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.
-If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin such as swelling, fever, or green/yellow discharge contact your doctor immediately for further instructions.

-Hold the anti-aging creams and put your skin care routine on pause. ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP is what you will wash your eyebrows/ forehead area with (morning & night) for the next 7 days starting 5 hours after the initial procedure. Antibacterial soap is the ONLY product you will use as a cleanser for the next 7 days. NO, you cannot use your regular face wash from your eyes down. When finished washing pat dry completely with a tissue or cotton.

FAQ: “What kind of soap do I use to wash my eyebrows?” Dial is the most common brand of antibacterial soap. Either bar or foam is fine as long as it is antibacterial.

DLD- “I personally use the foam soap because it mimics a face wash feel but as long as it’s antibacterial either can be used.”

-Yes, avoid contact with water. DO wash your eyebrows!! You’re a bada$$ with a new face tattoo. You want to keep your new tatts clean and sterile. Be cautious when showering. It is best to wash your eyebrows/face outside of the shower until your brows are healed.

The reason being is because where the pigment is so superficial in the skin the direct pressure from the water may cause the pigment to remove before it has a chance to completely deposit into the skin or the water could absorb the pigment and could affect the final results. If your eyebrows do get wet, simply tap dry with a tissue or cotton.

NOTHING should be applied to the forehead area for 7 days. Do NOT use makeup. (Do not use creams, serums, moisturizers, oils, ointments such as Vaseline, Aquaphor, sunblock, acids, Neosporin, facial toners, etc. Some artists may advise that you apply Aquaphor or grape seed oil. DLD Brows DOES NOT. At DLD we comply with dry healing.

-Avoid cardio and sweating for the first 24hrs (this means no hot saunas/steam room).

No swimming. This includes hot baths, pools, the ocean, and Jacuzzis.

Avoid driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles.

Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds and increases risks of infection.

Avoid exposure to UV/UVA rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading. This includes sun tanning or artificial salon tanning and products.

Avoid tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning until eyebrows are completely healed. This is because of airborne debris.

No lasers, chemical treatments, peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck (7-14 days).

The next morning your eyebrows will appear super dark. 9/10 clients are horrified. Don’t be. Have faith and trust the process. Your eyebrows will continue to get darker and darker until they begin to peel.

Is this normal? Leading into the second week your eyebrows will begin to scab/peel. Once your brows begin to peel and the skin begins to heal, your eyebrows will become patchy and it will look like flaky dry skin. They will also become SUPER itchy. If you’re a picker, resist the urge to pick!! Do not scratch or rub as it will disturb the skin from healing naturally. Picking at the skin will cause damage to the final result of your brows and may remove the pigment and cause scarring. Clients report with flowy brow the healing process is smoother. Brows do not peel or scab as much in comparison to Microblading. The pigment will heal to a natural color, but you will not see final results for about 21-45 days.

STILL AVOID oils and ointments such as Vaseline, Aquaphor, Neosporin, etc.

NO!!!! @DLDbrows suggests dry healing.

Aquaphor, Vaseline, and other petroleum jelly will not only cause significant fading of the pigment but could potentially trap bacteria and other pathogens causing infection/delay of the healing process.

Technically speaking yes. After 7 days from your initial appointment you can fill in your eyebrows. However, @DLDbrows suggests waiting until they are finished peeling before applying any product to the area.

My eyebrows are gone! Once your brows have finished peeling, they may appear washed out for about one week. This may have you feeling like your eyebrows are disappearing or fading too quickly. They are not. Trust the process. Your eyebrows did not disappear, and the true color of the pigment will surface within a week.

OMG, they’re back! But there’s this one spot…. Even with the proper care, it is not uncommon for some clients may lose definition or some of the initial hair strokes created. This is normal and the reason why you return for a retouch. Do not be discouraged if certain areas do not take to the pigment initially. Any adjustments to shape or color can be made during the retouch.

Always apply sunscreen with high SPF on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Protecting your skin from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the Micropigmentation.

*Be cautious and always avoid chemical peels on the face and products that increase the regeneration of the skin on the forehead area*

Retouch appointment is scheduled about 30-45 days after the initial appointment. Aftercare is crucial to the longevity and results of your new eyebrows. Improper care may result in fading of the eyebrows.

Please be aware that the result of the procedure is depending the following: Medication and health conditions, Skin Conditions – i.e. oily and poor skin, very dry/flaky skin, sun-damaged skin, lose or laxed skin, Natural skin undertones, Alcohol intake and smoking, general stress, immune system, poor diet and not following the aftercare instructions, may affect your healed results.

Antacids, thyroid and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with permanent makeup either by affecting retention or shifting the pigment to an undesirable tone.

Remember, everything we eat, and drink has its own chemical structure and the electron ends that are unattached or free, may get attached to other compounds inside the body forming a new molecule that may show a different color spectrum. With that info, an educated client may have better expectations and know that she / he may need more frequent adjustments that others. The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be. Mature clients may need an additional one to two weeks healing for the final results to appear. The better you take care of your skin and protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the micropigmentation procedures.

Flowy Brow appointments are scheduled in studio for about 2.5-3hrs. Appointments vary based on detail which may take as little as one hour but please set aside 2-3 hours for your appointment. (Retouch appointments require the same amount of time)

Pretty hurts. LOL JK., clients claim little to no pain during the first pass. Second and third pass are completed after a topical anesthetic has been applied.

DLD mainly uses Tina Davies I❤️INK Pigments.

The ingredients are a combination of pigments, glycerin, witch hazel, aqua, rosin, benzyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol. It is gamma-ray sterilized, vegan and cruelty-free. Please see our Pigment MSDS for Tina Davies I <3 INK full ingredient listings.

Microblading best for normal to dry skin types is done using a handheld blade made up of multiple tiny needles to scratch the skin with pigment. Over time the skin compresses to the “scratch” and gets smaller and smaller until it fades away. Lasting 6-12 months.

Flowy Brow is a universal technique which injects pigment into the skin using a tiny nano needle. Strokes are sparser and more natural in comparison to the hair stroke pattern of Microblading. Machine hair strokes (nano stroking) is less invasive and causes less trauma to the skin. Less trauma to the skin results with longer lasting results. (for most skin types)

NO, because they are high-quality ingredients, have high lightfastness and concentration. They will only become a lighter version of the original color(s). -https://tinadavies.com/pages/faq

DLD Brows suggests that old pigment should be faded by a minimum of 50% to hide or cover up the original pigment successfully.

Brow Lamination

Brow lamination is a process where a keratin treatment is placed on the brows to straighten the hairs up in the desired direction to giving the appearance of a set, uniform, brushed up look.

This 3-step process enables DLD to set and manipulate the structure of the brow hairs into a new shape. DLD can create arches, extend tails, tame unruly brows and create the latest ‘fluffy’ brow look with lamination. Your brows will then stay in place without the need for any additional brow products.

6 – 8 weeks.

Appointments are scheduled in the studio for 45minutes.

Thick brows, thin brows, woman and men.

This is the ultimate brow solution for eyebrows that do not have symmetry and the hairs follow a different pattern. With brow lamination, we can realign the brow hair growth direction and pattern to give them a fuller sleek or fluffy look depending on your style.

Super low maintenance, however you do need to give your brows some love once you have had them laminated. You will need to keep the brows hydrated daily or weekly depending on your brow hair health. This will ensure your brows stay strong and healthy. Lack of hydration can result in the hairs to become brittle and break. DLD will be able to recommend the best aftercare for you based on your brows.

DLD has been trained to a high standard to be able to assess how your brow hair perms to ensure your brows remain safe, healthy, and hydrated long term. (DLD brow mask is suggested for use to nourish the hairs after treatment)

Yes, the results are ICONIC with thin brows, the transformation can be bomb. However, if we do not feel your brows will be a good fit for lamination, we will let you know.
